$1,908,075.49 18-Wheeler Accident Case

Our client was awarded $1,908,075.49 as compensation for a tractor-trailer accident involving an illegal U-turn. The accident occurred near Uvalde, Texas. Our client, a commercial truck driver operating an 18-wheeler, was traveling on U.S. Highway 90, approximately one mile west of the Uvalde border patrol checkpoint station, when another commercial truck driver failed to yield the right-of-way as he cut across the highway and attempted to make a U-turn. Our client suffered significant injuries, including spinal and rib fractures and an abdominal injury that required an exploratory laparotomy. The case settled soon after suit was filed, without any depositions having been taken.
