Our client recovered $1,850,000.00 as a result of a rear-end motor vehicle accident that occurred in West Texas. Our client suffered significant injuries as a result of the accident, including a mild traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures.
Our client, an oilfield worker, was lawfully traveling eastbound on IH-20, in or around Pyote, Texas, stopped in traffic, when an individual acting withing the course and scope of his employment with a major natural gas measurement company and also traveling eastbound on IH-20, behind our client and accelerating at a high rate of speed, collided into the rear of our client’s vehicle. Our client’s vehicle was then propelled into the vehicle immediately in front of him, also stopped for traffic. Among other things, the Firm retained an accident constructionist, who, after downloading the other driver’s “black box,” was able to show that the company driver was actually accelerating at the time of impact, without any evidence of brake application in the five seconds leading up to the crash.
Our client suffered significant injuries as a result of the incident, including a mild traumatic brain injury and multiple facial, spine and rib fractures. Our client’s damages were supported by, among others, expert reports from an economist and a vocational rehabilitation expert.
